Apply 1/4 to 1/2 cup per square yard. Make sure to spread evenly on the surface area to be treated. To prevent thaw /re-freeze be sure to remove slush and water after melting within 10-15 minutes maximum  after application

There are many factors to take into consideration and safe- guarding your concrete from thaw refreeze cycles. The thaw/ refreeze cycle happens when the product melts the slush/ice and then refreeze  because the surface water or slush is not removed, which puts added pressure on the concrete. To reduce risk to thaw /refreeze cycle occurring make sure surface areas cleaned no longer than 10 to 15 minutes after application. This product should never be used on any pre-cast products (steps or walks) or  low quality, concrete or concrete less than one year old. All concrete that this product is used on should be cured and sealed. Make sure to use proper application as directed above as excessive amounts of product application can cause damage, including but not limited to flaking, scaling, chipping, and cracking
